Succumbing To The Temptation To Compete On Price?

April 16, 2009 · Filed Under Business · Comment

Compete on price Resist it, if this is your sole strategy. It’s true that prices may come down as competition grows fiercer for the consumers that still have money during this tough recession. However, if your sole reason to reduce prices is to get more customers, this strategy is doom to failure. For one, it’s not just a matter of people having less money to spend, it’s also a question of getting the best value for their money. If you don’t take the time to create a product strategy that embraces a holistic approach to marketing in bad times, you’ll end up doing what everyone else is doing – lowering prices. And, then whoever can withstand the loss of profit the most will end up winning more of the market share, but at a very dear price. That just simply isn’t a good strategy to build a business that can survive a recession and go on to generate long-term growth.

Are You A Clutter Bug In Your Kitchen?

April 11, 2009 · Filed Under Home & Garden, Shopping · Comment

Kitchen storage The idea of kitchen storage is not as much about spaciousness as it is about the utilisation of the existing space. Kitchen design may vary from house to house as it is always created as per the individual tastes and preferences of the owners. The kitchen serves as the best and cleanest place where your food is cooked. There shouldn’t be any sort of clutter both from a cleanliness and safety point of view, and all kitchen utensils and cutlery should be so arranged that you don’t waste time searching for them, especially when the cooking is in full swing. Clutter can be quite dangerous too, and more often kitchen fires flare up due to a person’s negligence than due to any technical faults. Hence the concept of clever kitchen storage design needs to be explored by a home owner in order to ensure a clean and safe place for cooking and dining if need be.

Essential travel clothes When planning to go away for a weekend beach break, or for a round the world trip, as a prospective traveller one will be considering what essential travel clothes one needs to take and what it would be better to buy while away.

A traveller with ethical sensibilities will be aware that to spend money while away is normally of economic benefit to the area visited, however though something desirable often can be found after arrival, it can be surprisingly tricky to find something that is not on every street market from Camden Town to Bangkok.

While shopping in areas where the tourist trade dominates, the goods offered cater for this wide range of passing trade rather than for local tastes, which actually leads to uniformity of products being offered. And though inexpensive and immediately appealing, this produce is often unoriginal and mass produced to a low standard at a location far from where it is being sold.
